Programmatic Activities
Education Provide nature programs for all ages Develop and maintain educational displays for nature programs and events. Develop partnerships and coordinate activities for nature interpretive events such as International Migratory Bird Week and Eagle Days. Create and distribute nature educational materials. Educate teachers, field trip leaders and volunteers through the Master Naturalist program in partnership with St Louis Community College. Conduct nature field trips for all interest levels (especially beginners).	Science and Conservation Create opportunities to execute and support hands-on conservation initiatives at local lalnd reginal levels. Collect census data on bird species of the St Louis area through Christmas Bird Counts, Breeding Bird Surveys, field trips and other activities. Identify, evaluate, restore and preserve important bird habitats in partnership with government agencies and NGOs. Public Policy and Advocacy Develop and sustain relationships with government agencies and non-governmental organizations to advocate for preserving biological diversity, natural resource conservation and a quality environment.
